Heart Burlap Wreath

We are hosting a Valentine's Playdate this weekend for my daughter and her preschool friends so I had to come up with some quick decorations using items I already had! Here is some info about the wreath I put together! :-)
I traced a heart basket I already had onto a piece of cardboard and cut the heart out. I also cut up some old sheet music pages! Then, put a coat of Mod Podge on the cardboard heart and applied the pieces of cut up paper onto the Mod Podge coated cardboard. Next I added a coat of Mod Podge to cover the top of the cut up paper. Then, I let it dry overnight! Don't have Mod Podge? Make your own: Just mix equal parts water and school glue....works just the same as Mod Podge!

Next, I hot glued some burlap on the back around the edges and hot glued a strip of burlap as the hanger!

Finally, I took little scraps of contrasting colored burlap and glued them on top of each other to create a flower! Then, I added a button as the center! What do you think? Cute, huh!
